I’m constantly in awe of the goodness and loving devotion of God. It’s like He goes out of the way to help us see that He is an ever-present help. I can hear Him saying at the oddest times, “I’ve got you, baby. Keep going. I have good for you.”

Last week, I heard someone say that the remarkable thing about God is how He comforts us in hard times. You will never go through the valley of the shadow of death without His rod and staff. He doesn’t shut down the communication lines in the valley. He powers it up. Listen up, and you will hear Him.

Today, as I sat in the car, I saw His light begin to flicker. As I got curious, He granted me illumination. Last week, I took a plunge in my investment goal for the year. It was crazy, to be honest, but I took the leap of faith. When I got worried, I went to Him with my fears. He told me that my only job was to present my five loaves and two fish, and He would take it up from there. As I pondered what my five loaves and two fish represented, He lovingly reminded me of the talents He had given me. I had a big smile on when I said, “they are already yours, Dad.” To that, He said, “I just wanted to know that. Now, trust me to multiply what you already submitted.”

Less than a week after this, someone offered to pay me to do something that was so within my natural abilities that I wouldn’t have called it work.

As I pondered this in the car, the Lord reminded me of something I had been asking Him. He said, “Now, don’t get discouraged or begin to doubt. Keep your confessions alive. I am setting the stage for your desires to become your reality. It seems like it’s taking a long time, but that’s just because I am orchestrating the events and connecting you to the people that will see that your dreams are actualized.”

As I write this, I remember the word Mo sent me recently:

As the rain and the snow

come down from heaven

and do not return to it

without watering the earth

and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

so is My Word that goes out from My mouth:

It will not return to Me empty,

but it will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10-13.

Be Encouraged. God is as good as His Word. Pick up those promises again and keep your confessions alive until your desires become your reality. Rest assured that it will happen.
