SEEK THE ANCIENT PATHS!

I met a woman last week, and our conversation has placed a burden on my heart.

Honestly, I am surprised that believers are taken aback by trouble. God promised to make your crooked paths straight, so there are no ups and downs for the child of God. However, Jesus also said that in this life, you would experience trouble but be of good cheer for He has overcome the world.

We faint in adversity because we have not allowed the Holy Spirit to build spiritual muscles in us. It makes sense that since Jesus has overcome the world, you stand on His word until you experience the victory.

Unfortunately, many Christians have a weekly relationship with God. You will suffer, and you will be surprised when troubles come.

What is wrong with a generation that will not wait on God despite knowing that His word is sure?

The problem is that many people are unwilling to walk the path, but everyone wants victory. It doesn’t work that way.

Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, “We will not walk in it.”

Jeremiah 16:6.

So how can God help you if you will not listen to Him?

God intends that we are a generation that does not become sluggish but that we imitate those who through, Faith and Patience, inherit what He promised.

I saw my mum do this when things were so hard. My mum is a firm believer in Jesus. I saw her live out her faith, and it made an impression on me.

Your kids will walk in your steps, so you must show them the ancient paths so they can walk in them.

“And Jehoshaphat walked in all the ways of his father, Asa. He did not turn aside from them, doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord.”

1 Kings 22:43.

“Ahaziah, son of Ahab, did evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of his father and mother.”

1 Kings 22:52.

  1. One of my sincerest wishes for people—especially lovers of Christ—is that we know God EXPERIENTIALLY. This way, the Bible and all therein ceases to be mere stories but realities for us.

  2. Well, my darling daughter, very true. Love God and serve Him when you have and when you don’t have because He remains God. He will always do the impossible. Mum.
