The world didn’t give it… The world can’t take it!
This cliche has been the highlight and high point of my life the past few days.
At the stage you are in this very moment with life turning up in several different directions, it might be hard to stay joyful.
Mum talked to me about the sacrifice of praise. It’s funny because you get so familiar with scripture that you don’t see what it’s really saying.
A sacrifice is actually something painful. It will mean that in giving thanks and in staying joyful, it might get really hard but you can.
So in the midst of the twists and turns and the so many reasons to remain in the pit of sorrow, I remembered God coming through for me in the times I didn’t expect. I remembered his hands carrying me through the seasons of pain and loss.
For me God is all the more real because He has been the wind beneath my wings.
So in the midst of the pain, I could affirm that this joy that I have, the world didn’t give it… The world can’t take it. And as I cried in pain and thanksgiving, I found succor, rest and strength for the journey ahead.
I just had to share with you on this Valentines Day – this season of love.
It might not be easy but God loves you and He gives peace and joy not just when things are rosy but for the thorn-bushes as well.
So y’all be glad!
This joy, the world didn’t give it… The world can’t take it as long as you don’t give it away.
Yes the world won’t take it! Came in timely. Thanks ma.
