I was eighteen years old when I sat in church and listened to Chaz B say to all of us seated that day that we’re priceless. He spoke to us from Matthew 10:29-31 and it changed me.
He said God loves each one of us so much that he’s particular about the smallest detail of our lives. So God looks at Keeva and says, ‘Oh Keeva will be so fashion inclined, let’s give her 246,000 strands of hair.’
Of course I cannot claim to know God’s reason behind anything he does but he knows every detail of our lives. Look what it says here;
Matt.10.29 – Not even a sparrow, worth only half a penny, can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.
Matt.10.30 – And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
Matt.10.31 – So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to him than a whole flock of sparrows.
We’re so valuable to the all powerful God that he looked at eternity and couldn’t imagine it without us. He had to send his most precious son to die in our place. And know what he calls you and I? Allow me show you;
Zech.2.8 – “After a period of glory, the LORD Almighty sent me against the nations who oppressed you. For he said, Anyone who harms you harms my most precious possession.
You’re His most Precious Possession – The Apple Of His Eyes!”
I don’t think it gets cooler than that or clearer. You Are More but you gotta believe it to live it!
It’s why I don’t get the alarming suicide rate. Of course life is hard. The devil isn’t here for nothing. You don’t think he’s here to make your life rosy, do you?
God isn’t responsible for the hard times you face. However he’ll help you clean the mess and give you a rosy garden in place of the thorns that have so marked your life. All you have to do is let him in. There’s hope. But its found only in Jesus.
This is not the ramblings of a psycho. Of course I’m mad about the thorough waste of lives and dreams but this is a call to another person considering suicide.
You’re much too precious. So things are so hopeless now. I get it. Don’t give up. There is HOPE!!!
Job.14.7 – “If a tree is cut down, there is hope that it will sprout again and grow new branches
Job.14.8 – Though its roots have grown old in the earth and its stump decays,
Job.14.9 – at the scent of water it may bud and sprout again like a new seedling.
Job.14.10 – “But when people die, they lose all strength. They breathe their last, and then where are they?
Like that tree, there is hope for you. But if you give up and die, you have buried hope forever and those dreams that once ignited your heart will not see the light of another day.
Why do you think before Jesus left the earth, he said this;
John.16.33 – I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
I’m writing this as someone who can relate with your pain. I’ve been right where you are. Hopeless and suicidal but I saw the light. And everytime I feel like I’m being dragged into that pit of depression and that abyss of hopelessness; I see the light come on.
The Light, believe it is Jesus. The fourth man in the fire that was supposed to consume the three Hebrew men. He loves you so much.
David asked a question and even now so many years after, not only does it ring true, I don’t have the answer…
Ps.8.3 – I look up at your macro-skies, dark and enormous, your handmade sky-jewelry, Moon and stars mounted in their settings.
Ps.8.4 – Then I look at my micro-self and wonder, Why do you bother with us? Why take a second look our way? [MSB]
And this morning He told me to tell you that as long as you invite him in and he’s in charge, this will be your life;
Isa.33.20 – Instead, you will see Zion as a place of worship and celebration. You will see Jerusalem, a city quiet and secure.
Isa.33.21 – The LORD will be our Mighty One. He will be like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross.
Isa.33.22 – For the LORD is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us.
Isa.33.23 – The enemies’ sails hang loose on broken masts with useless tackle. Their treasure will be divided by the people of God. Even the lame will win their share!
Isa.33.24 – The people of Israel will no longer say, “We are sick and helpless,” for the LORD will forgive their sins.
That’s His promise to you and He never breaks his word. I pray you see the light. I pray you heed this call! You have so much to live for.
