Sitting on my bed just looking outside from my window, different thoughts keep flashing. Thoughts like how nothing is predictable in life. One minute you’re basking in good times and everything seems to be calm, easy and comfortable and just then guess what?
Life flips the switch on you and you are now in a dark place; a place you never imagined you could be at. Just like a stone dropped in water, you’ve hit rock bottom. Things you used to enjoy casually gradually become luxuries.
Then you begin to ask questions like, ‘When will it end? Has God forsaken me? How exactly is my destiny supposed to go? Or have I offended God?.’ And then so many things you always longed and aspired to achieve almost seem literally impossible.
But someone told me, “IF YOU ARE IN A DARK PLACE, DON’T ASSUME YOU’VE BEEN BURIED. PERHAPS GOD HAS PLANTED YOU.
You know like the beautiful flowers we see today. They weren’t always so beautiful. At first, they were just seeds sown in the dirt. Nothing attractive about them then. After awhile they began to grow out of the ground. Now all we see is the flowers in full bloom. You’re just like that.
Just keep believing even though it seems almost useless and then you’d be surprised. Remember, its always darkest before Dawn!
This beautiful write-up was written by my amazing friend, Moyinoluwa Adeyinka. Thank you. It lifted me. I hope it does same for y’all.
Wow this is really beautiful and I like that part about seeds being sown in dirt and come out beautiful. Apparently our life is a work in progress so what ever situation we find ourselves we shouldn’t despair cos God’s got Us.

Well done Moyin, thanks Jules for sharing this as well.
When we believe with expectation then the situation will turn around for sure, but when we choose to “manage” our expectations for fear of disappointment, then the downward spiral may just continue.
