Let’s face it, this year hasn’t been so wonderful for some of us. There have been some real nasty experiences as well as the very precious moments.
And in a matter of days, 2017 as we know it is coming to an end whether or not you’re ready. And ushering in 2018.
Just before we swing by the remaining days of 2017, I’ll like to ask a truly important question.
I started reflecting on the days and months gone by. It hasn’t been my most splendid year and I experienced some unpleasant things for the first time and learnt some hard lessons; but all in all, I realised I had a lot more to be thankful for.
And so I’m grateful for having had atleast one meal every day this year. I’m grateful for having had a roof over my head. I’m grateful for nights that turned into morning. I’m grateful for the amazing friends that turned family. I’m grateful for my church family. I’m grateful for having my family together. I’m grateful for every laughter, every rainfall, every sunrise and sunset. I’m grateful for the beautiful authors whose books I had the opportunity to read this year. I’m grateful for every word of encouragement and every individual that have overcome their obstacles and given the rest of humanity hope. I’m grateful to be alive. I’m grateful for Jesus’ great sacrifice because it’s in Him we live, move and have our being.
What are you grateful for?
No matter how difficult it has been for you this year, there is always, always something to be grateful for. If you can think deeply, you’ll realise there is something to be grateful for.
Forget about the things that didn’t work out this year and just count your blessings.
You know what they say, ‘He who isn’t grateful is a great fool.’
What are you grateful for?
Grateful for meeting you.
